I used Picasa for years and found this solution a few days ago, so now I'm relying on this to make sure it's going to work fine with newer machines. I work as a SysAdmin, so I'm thinking about installing IG on fresh installs of Windows and set it as the default image viewer.įor now, all I can do is to thank for the software, as it is really handy, since Google dropped Picasa's support. I'm glad enough to see future updates with nice features. I really like the simple, clear and neat interface it has, but it still has lots to improve. I started using IG thinking it would be like Picasa on steroids, and it really is. I'm not saying that every single aspect of Picasa Photo Viewer should be literally copied, but you could certainly make some good use of what's already in it to implement and enhance IG even more.
Picasa has great features indeed, but Google failed on dropping the support for it. So I liked the way IG is and I hope it keeps that way. IfranView and XnView are very powerful resources, but the UX is quite bloated by default. I used Picasa for a long time in the past, so now I thought IG would be the best alternative, as far as I researched. (Plus double-click to reset to center and window size.)
